TIME CAPSULE FROM THE ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION.—Last week I received an email from Pete Corson. He wrote, I’ve worked at the AJC since 1998, and from 1999-2007, I was the page designer for our opinion pages. When the company slimmed down and migrated to the suburbs in 2010, I rescued a couple of old art folders, one of which has a bunch of your artwork from the late 1980s. He asked me if I wanted them, and of course I said yes. I didnt ask him what the art was, but thought Id wait to receive them and be surprised. I was! Turns out Pete had saved about 100 original caricatures that I drew from 1985-87. These images were part of an in-house caricature service provided for Cox newspapers during that time. Great to see these old drawings after almost 30 years.
