TIME FOR THE PEOPLE OF KANUNGU TO SEE THE TRUTH AND JUDGE As primary five pupil at kihiihi primary school in 2001 I had my father who is an NRM supporter tell other people that Kizza Besigye and Musinguzi James Garuga were not supposed to be their leaders for they were violent and they would ultimately bring in instability from the Congo which was then unstable. But the most brutal as the movement propagandist claimed, sat back and saw their supporters gunned down. People lost their eyes like Bosco in that struggle for change in the hands of those who were claiming that they were calm can tell you that the most brutal regime is the NRM for the UPC left him with it and in such a debate he is a winner. With due respect to the people in that system one of the prominent mayors kanungu as a town council has ever had Geoffrey Karabenda who was to recognize the wrath and the democratic deterioration in the district 10 years later when his NRM primary election was rigged by the Mbabazi clique as alleged by himself. It is said and alleged by our elders in FDC and reform agenda that this mayor had to smear the offices of FDC in kanungu with feaces to show is true kyankwazi carder ship. This no sense continued up to the 2011 elections where all the readers by then were mature and this violence by the so called peace makers from the movement bribed voters, used GISOs and other state machinery to clamp down Ahimbisibwe Gad Rugaju who had turned a strong challenger to RT. HON. AMAAMA MBABAZI. They organized goons in the name of crime preventers and stopped Rugaju from going to campaign in the areas of Karubeizi this was typically unfair, violent, brutal, and undemocratic means of handling opponents above all it was against the constitution of Uganda to do that. What hurts me is that the perpetrators have always come from the supporters of a trained and renown politician/lawyer Amaama Mbabazi. All the above are just an icebreaker of what I have seen this rotten regime headed by president Museveni with his longtime friend Amaama do to the locals in my constituency kinkizi west. Two years ago I heard that Mbabazi heard presidential ambitions from a certain office at parliament (office withheld) and I laughed and argued that we would have no change in him and therefore I would not support him in his presidential bid for his supporters had committed what I call atrocities to some of the people they claim to lead and take care about. So the people of kanungu think whether actually they think about you or themselves. When in India in February 2014 I was on twitter and the daily monitor twitted a twit that had components of the kyankwazi resolution and that the reasons were Museveni wanting to stop Mbabazi from contesting as I followed the events though away I received a message from afriend that Mbabazi had signed as number 202 on the kyankwazi resolution. This was later taken as a tactic to the man referred to be the best politician in front of Museveni he had again agreed to something unconstitutional again and to me this can’t be brightness to follow long orders. The women and the youth in NRM who some of them were supporting Mbabazi were hunted and later the youth arrested. To me they were betrayed that they could loose and fail to get sureties the first day they appeared at court and mbabazi has always refuted people who say that he is to contest for presidency and he has always said that the others are just mere allegations though his wife whom I somehow credit speaks a different language. With the above I have studied that if mbabazi refuses to contest for presidency he will not have any blame for he hasn’t told any public gathering that he is to stand! So for those fighting his battles where will you go if he comes and Museveni on the same open roof are you ready to join us in the opposition or you are again ready to just follow your man as you have always done? In the last weeks while at home in my short holiday I met NRM boys from Makerere in Kanungu, they had been deployed by the IGP who has been always on Musevenis side since the beginning of the saga. It must also be noted that these boys (names withheld) were using tax payer’s money to this dirty, unfair, and unjust work. These were mobilizing for the Museveni rally that was to happen in that period. Where the NRM pretence between Museveni and Mbabazi were at the pick, but also as a young politician I asked the masses about what was happening, I was told that politicians and eminent men in kanungu had sat at Ngoto in a meeting and agreed not to support Museveni, a stand I support for Museveni has been a problem and they were to offer support to one man Mbabazi. The only thing I didn’t support was that their support was being given to a person that hasn’t declared his interest for it would place our elders in a very risky venture in this error of Musevenis turmoil. Indeed as I had predicted that the people of kanungu had been misguided by Museveni in conjuction with Mbabazi it was clear that some of them would finally remain with the president so that what happened to the business man KARABU whose kinyansi pub was gutted by fire. The same suspects of the 2001, 2006 and 2011 are still eminently the suspects of the fire that gutted the Kinyansi. So my people that have been claiming that if Museveni is the president then peace is guaranteed in the district; is peace there as people’s eyes are removed and finally the houses burnt why should we accept and allow mafias to rule and govern us?
