TO HELL WITH DEDE, JORDAN AND KEVIN PRINCE BOATENG. Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie-Daara has explained the reason behind the recent exclusion of Kevin-Prince Boateng and the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan, from the squad to tackle Turkey in an international friendly next week in Istanbul. The trio had voluntarily suspended their international careers, but recently rescinded their decisions, with many expecting them to be recalled to the Black Stars. But while claiming that the national body was keen to have the returning stars back in the national team, Daara explained that a failure by the trio to officially communicate their availability for selection in writing, left the GFA hamstrung. "Officially yes, it is the position of the Ghana Football Association that when you leave the national team normally it is in a written form which is by way of a letter," Ghanasoccernet quotes Daara as saying on Accra-based Montie FM. "Therefore when coming back, the same mode of communication should be applied so that we can have firm grounds on recalling them to the national team. "This is so because the clubs of these players were also made aware of these decisions to quit the national team. "The Ghana FA however will have nothing to stand on to make a case against these clubs when inviting these players back especially when the club refuses to release these players. "We have stated that these players can help the national team so we spoke to them about their return. "We are keen on their return but the right thing must be done. They have made their intentions verbally so we must have a letter to prove it if their clubs refuse to release them for international matches. "It is very important for the purposes of also preserving our reputation on the international scene so there is no compromise here."
