TO Jim Solouki GOD gives us trials not to punish us! it is His way to remind us that we need to seek His name and test our faith. in other way, it is also because He wants to save those people who survived the calamities and those who didnt experiences it at all(LIKE YOU) to extend their hands to those fortunate as Jesus said, written in Matthew 25:34-36(if you are reading Bible):Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Not only Filipinos should repent. All of the people including you should. And about Noahs story, Gods purpose of the flood is not just because He wants punish the people of that time but to save the only righteous people left(which is Noah and his family) because He want to preserve the people who walk with His Image so itll continue through the ages. And remember the giants that era? they are the product of Angels who trespassed Gods law to them and take mans body to marry the daughters of men(Genesis 6:1-4). imagine if they are still living till now with giants animal creatures. what do you think will happen to the people? God is the God of reasons. we cannot measure His wisdom. whatever is His purpose im sure it is good for everyone. Seek Him and youll understand. May God bless you!
