October 1 and the implementation of Obamacare is almost upon us! What the Republicans have done in the past to stop Obamacare has obviously not worked. They absolutely have to try a new tactic. OBAMACARE WILL ALSO IMPACT SCHOOL BUDGETS Obamacare will also impact school budgets and substitute teachers also. As stated by David Rosenthal in the 8.14.13 article in American Thinker -- educationviews.org/will-teachers-like-obamacare/ -- For example, if a regular teacher is absent for an extended period, a school district would normally hire a long term substitute. Due to increased costs [under Obamacare], however, a district would limit a long term substitute to no more than 30 hours per week or 3 days. A district would then have to hire another substitute for the remaining two days. Students would therefore have more than one substitute teacher during the week, hardly a model of continuity in education. The individual mandate [of Obamacare] will also inflict pain on school district budgets. One of the main concerns is the requirement that deductibles and co-pays will now satisfy out-of-pocket maximums, thereby allowing an employee to reach their maximum more quickly than under the pre-Obamacare plan. At first glance an employee may view this favorably. However, the end result is that the school district will spend more on healthcare. And as thinking people understand, nothing is free and school districts, unlike our federal treasury, cannot print money. So when healthcare costs for a school district rise, who pays? ============== OBAMACARE AND MEDICARE TRAIN WRECKS ObamaCare is a slush fund to pay off Obama’s political activists. Some $655,000 in federal funds has been given to Planned Parenthood in Iowa, Montana, and New Hampshire with $375,000 to Metropolitan Planned Parenthood of D. C. – all to hire “navigators.” Navigators are to assist 7 million people to apply for Obamacare benefits by reporting their personal medical and financial information to the government. Most navigators will be hired from Organizing for America, SEIU, and other Democrat advocacy groups. Before starting to work, navigators will receive only 20 hours of training in a month. Navigators are not required to to have a high-school diploma or to undergo a criminal background check. They are not even fingerprinted but will have access to 7 million people’s “most personal and private financial, employment, medical history and prescription-drug information, along with their tax returns, Social Security number, date of birth, bank account number and place of employment.” This is an open invitation for scam artists to pose as navigators and for hackers and cyber criminals to steal identities. A huge data hub will gather personal records from various government agencies: IRS, Social Security Admin., Dept. of Homeland Security, Veterans Health Admin., Defense Dept., Personnel Management Office, Peace Corps, and undoubtedly from the Dept. of Ed. and its Common Core Standards Initiative national database of intrusive personal information.
