TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN . I wish to apologize for the loss of my profiles, in which you were connected to me as friend. You may have seen it as if I suddenly stopped updating or disappeared from that profile or it may seem as if I forsook you. Not really, rather I always have you in mind. What happened was that “Facebook” management locked my account, based on their policies and strictness. Facebook has so many unfavourable rules to my course, and they seemed more concern with the commercialization of their social network than I perceived them to have the interest of the users at heart. . Using my Profile account to relate with you was much easier and better; but because of my evangelism and publicity, I usually breach some of the rules of Facebook. They sent me warnings, advising me to rather open a “PAGE” or a “GROUP” for my function, instead of using my “PROFILE” in the way I did. I opened two “PAGES” and one “GROUP,” which is this one. But there was a huge challenge, because people were not willing to “LIKE” my pages or even go there regularly to check for my updates as they would do with my profile. They preferred I use my profile to speak to them than using my pages, for my profile made me closer to them while the pages seemed distant. So, not much people would “Like” my pages or patronize it for their own personal reasons. But then, some of you accepted my invitation and liked my pages, almost as soon as I invited you. . When I saw that majority did not like the pages, I was in dilemma. However, I decided to still continue reaching out to those people by using my profiles, as well as feeding the pages I had opened. That was how I had kept both ways. However, by still using my profiles against the warning of Facebook, I incurred their wrath and lost my profiles. That was so grievous because I lost many friends, whose full names I could not recall because of the complexity in pronouncing their names which are foreign to me. I knew them more by their faces than by their names. It pained me so much, but I opened other profile accounts and added some of my friends I remembered. Then the option of creating this group came, which I did about a year ago, so that I could add my friends herein. . But since the last time I lost my profile account because I was posting in different groups, multiple groups at once, I could not bear it any longer and I wished I leave Facebook for good. I said I was not going to open any other Facebook account to recall you my friends in that profile I lost. So what I have done was to search for other Social Network, especially the one that will provide a better platform for my ministering more than Facebook has been. I found out that though Facebook was better than most for now, one upcoming Social Network has a better promise security and service orientation than Facebook to me. That Network is called, “ELLO.” As you can see, I have already opened a profile, and that’s me on the profile picture and on the cover page. To me, “ELLO” is going to rise, but for now they are still in the inception stage or still in their structuring stage. “ELLO” is probably not up to a year it was launched. I have seen, and am satisfied with it as it meets my evangelism strides. . I may not be much active in the remaining Facebook profiles like before; rather I will be active on this group and on my pages as I used to be. My interaction on my profile may be personal or one on one with friends, not much of a public type. Actually, if not that I have this group and other pages I still manage, by now Facebook would have become a history to me. I have moved on to “ELLO” as you can see; and I also wish my friends will join me there. However, this group it is and the pages also. There is nothing personal about my sudden change; it just my displeasure with the owners of this network. You are the reason why I am still on Facebook. Thanks for your understanding. . © PETER .C.
