TOCKY VIBES - Book Cafe Concert Review I promised to do a review of TOCKY VIBES concert at the Book Cafe last night following his widely condemned poor showing and stunt at the HICC last week. I got to the venue at 720pm as the show had be advertised to kick-off at 7pm and anticipated that it would start at 8pm latest. 10pm and still no Tocky or any announcement. Finally 1030 Tocky sneaks on to the stage unannounced. Straight away he belts some of his hit songs. After the 3rd song he paused and said, Do i have any of my fans that were at HICC? Iam sorry for what happened, please forgive me. This was the best moment of the concert as his apology sent the small audience into a frenzy. His performance was on point despite his constant requests to Pull op to his band, 30 minutes into his set, there was some non-verbal communication with his entourage, in a split second he put the microphone down and was hastily whisked away by bouncers clad in branded t-shirts with his face. As Online media 3 Men on a Boat put it He comes on at 10.30. He is gone at 11pm. Not even a goodbye or nothing. Gone. 3-mob There was no interaction with the audience, a goodbye. This was the second time that i witnessed similar conduct, firstly at the Beer Fest. Am not sure if his contact was for 30min only. In disappointment i did not bother to wait for Guspy Warrior. I then left. I like the young mans music but not his seemingly big headed attitude. Iam sure he is ill-advised by his so-called management which behaves likes a vigilante group.
