TODAY: Nicholas County engineer Gregory Boso selected to fill vacant State Senate seat in the 11th District. CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gregory Boso of Nicholas County was selected today to fill the vacancy in the 11th Senatorial District. Governor Tomblin chose him from a list of three qualified nominees provided by the Republican Partys 11th Senatorial District Committee on Wednesday. He will fill the seat opened by the retirement of Sen. Clark Barnes to become the Clerk of the Senate. Boso is an engineer and consultant from Summersville, with 40 years in the construction business. He is a civil engineering graduate of West Virginia Tech. In his free time, Boso has served as a volunteer firefighter, Deacon at Summersville Baptist Church, and as a high school soccer referee. We were proud to have so many qualified applicants and top-tier people in the process as the Senatorial Committee selected the three nominees. All would have been proud additions to the new Senate majority, said West Virginia Republican Chairman Conrad Lucas. Greg Boso is a family man, a hard-working man, an educated man, and a church-going man. He understands the challenges of trying to build and grow a business in a state that has had so many hurdles for job-creators. We believe he will make an exceptional State Senator for the folks of the seven counties in the 11th District. We commend committee Chairwoman Benjean Rapp and the members of the 11th Senatorial Committee for running such a seamless, transparent and efficient process, said Lucas. campaign.r20.constantcontact/render?ca=da7bb336-0455-451c-b793-e2c678013803&c=d087aa40-7cba-11e3-b43d-d4ae52754950&ch=d1572f40-7cba-11e3-b497-d4ae52754950
