In a 5-4 decision, SCOTUS ruled in the McCutcheon case that caps on individual donations to PACS and political parties violates the First Amendment rights to free speech. What this means is that if you have enough money in America, you can simply put so much of it into the system as to for all intents and purposes buy elections. I she said, from the beginning of my campaign, that the undue influence of money on our politics is like a cancer eating our democracy. Today, it got even worse.
