TODAYS Pokemon in Mythology: Mawile or known as a Futakuchi-onna Futakuchi-onna have three main origin stories ( or four but two of them are basically the same) Basically It is a woman with a second mouth on the back of her head. In many stories, the soon-to-be futakuchi-onna is a wife or bride of a miser and rarely eats. To counteract this, a second mouth mysteriously appears on the back of the womans head. The second mouth often mumbles spiteful and threatening things to the woman and demands food. If it is not fed, it can screech obscenely and cause the woman tremendous pain. Eventually, the womans hair begins to move like a pair of serpents, allowing the mouth to help itself to the womans meals. It is also known to eventually cause the woman to go insane and and kill the household and eventually herself. Another way the mouth forms is from the spirit of womans child starved to death and it exacts revenge upon the woman in the same manor as the above origin. And finally a woman gets accidentally or purposely harmed by her husbands axe, the wound never heals properly and becomes the mouth ~Lady Trevenant
