TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL FOCUS 9/12/2013 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, ‘And their righteousness is from Me,’ Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17. Who can be stronger than our worst enemy, Satan and all his forces? Certainly, no person on earth can stand against Satan and his hordes of powerful demons. BUT take note to God’s Word in Isaiah. God Himself alone has total jurisdiction, power and authority over Satan and all his forces! Everyone and everything fall under God Almighty and can never lift so much as a little finger unless God allows it. Based upon this truth, “no weapon” can succeed against God’s servants. AND WHEN GOD SAYS “NO WEAPON”, IT’S ABSOLUTE AND UNCHANGEABLE AND TOTALLY SOLID AND DEPENDABLE! Many are the stories of people relying upon God’s Word in this single verse of Scripture that have averted tragedies in their lives. For example, a group of soldiers engaged in heavy fighting in which multitudes fell all around them but suffered not so much as a single injury among themselves who committed to memory this one verse and quoted it during the heavy battles! The only reasonable explanation for their safety can be attributed to the reliance on this very powerful Word of God, for God Himself declared, “And their righteousness is from Me.”! Will it work for us? It has for many of us. Why not try it with an earnest and open heart before God?
