TOO MANY COOKS SPOILS THE SOUP - in PNG.. In my opinion, politicians aint the problem. The problem we have in this nation is the Court systems which arent so rigid and direct. There is too many loop holes which are been exhausted & exploited by self made millionaires [aka corrupt politicians] who use the very law that is supposed to protect the people and the nation to defend themselves. Add onto this loop holes scenario, we have systems which are creating duplicates, and way too many cooks preparing a simple meal. There is way too many Chief Secretaries, Secretaries senior secretaries, deputies and assistants, and actors and interims all operating at the same time. Why do we need a Provincial Government anyway? When we already have a National Government? Why have Councilors and Presidents at LLG levels when we can let National Government which is made up of Open MPs run the affairs of our Districts without the help of Provincial Government? Or better still why do we need an Open MP when we can only elect a Provincial Government who can work with the LLG President and Ward councilors to deliver? We have way too many cooks trying to cook a meal that can be prepared by just a single person or a handful of people. As a nation, in Papua New Guinea, we really live up to this slogan which states that... TOO MANY COOKS SPOILS THE SOUP . Source: My OPINION
