TOUR DE ROCK/FISHING DERBY RESULTS! Well folks today was a bit of a grind! The day began at around 3:30am and we were met with both wind & fog! The fog did lift and sun showed up in time to crown the first ever Tour de Rock Derby winner! Heres how the prizes were awarded: -1st Place with a 22lb Chinook D.J Swanstrom -2nd Place with a 19 3/4lb Chinook Jason Whittaker -3rd Place with a 18 3/4lb Chinook Cordell Phillips -4th Place with a 18.5lb Chinook Dan Perrier/Harley -5th Place Gary Muir with a 17.5lb Chinook So many sponsors to thank for the wonderful raffle prizes and I will be doing that in a separate post! The huge raffle winners were: D.J Swanstrom: Who pulled the lucky ticket for an Islander MR3 (green) custom reel, with Tour de Rock Derby 2014 engraved on it, this gift has a retail value of $600.00. (Thank you Islander Reels). Vince from Jocks Dock/Crab Shack: Who pulled the lucky ticket for a Trophy Reel with a Shimano Technium Rod, provided by the generous folks at Trotac Marine, this gift also has a retail value of $600.00. (Thank You Trotac Marine) I was lucky enough to be a on the vessel Doghouse and we got into 5 fish today! We weighed in 3 but lost a monster this afternoon, great day of fishing today and we were supported by great people! Thank you to all the participants for my derby and I promise we will grow it next year! We made a new friend today so enjoy the pictures as we fed him for most of the day! Tour de Rock Justin
