TOURISM JOBS: There are two current vacancies with closing dates early next week: Visit England are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to provide full administrative support to the Business Development team with particular responsibility for the efficient operation of the Visitor Attractions Quality Assurance Scheme. Salary: 25,000 plus benefits. Closing date 24 June 2013. Marketing Birmingham are looking for a Projects Policy Manager in a fixed term, maternity cover role as from June/July 2013 until approximately May 2014 (tbc). This is a busy, varied and interesting role and would be suitable for someone with experience of using their first class project management skills, coupled with an understanding of current issues facing destination management orgnaisations. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of business & leisure tourism as well as a sound understanding of inward investment. This will enable them to provide formal responses to to national, regional and local level tourism and inward investment consultations, policies and legislation. The role will also provide support to the Policy & Development Director in preparing applications to secure future funding and will also assist with the corporate business planning process. Salary: £32000 - £35000 plus benefits. Closing date 25 June 2013.
