TRANS AFRICAN NUPTIAL, ELIKEM AND POKELLO This is not the first time this is happening in our country, at least our first president set a president for us to emulate. The paramount first lady of our country was from Egypt. And since that time onwards there is a visa free to both countries. Ghanaians loved Egyptians since that time and many songs were composed for them especially from King Bruce. The first first lady of Zimbabwe was a Ghanaian perhaps President Mogaby met her when he was a student in Ghana. Unless I forget, Ghanaians don’t need any visa to enter Zimbabwe and the reverse is true There are so many inter country marriages among Ghanaians and Nigerians of late most exclusively our celebrates. The likes of Jim Ike and Nadia Buary, Yvonne Nelson and more complement a little aroma to the dish even though Nigerians are highly unpredictable. It takes one to cross two more countries to get Nigeria and vice versa but it can be done in a day more simpler done to go to Ivory Coast which Ghana shares border with. Can something really come out of this? I personally think this is the only medium Africa can unit and come together as a united nation. Because one get to know and appreciate the other very well when one gets an encounter with the other. Through this, we learn to tolerate and feel the sense of unity. How Osagyefo would be moving in his grave if one day there will be no boundaries in the continent, when there would be a train from Accra to Johannesburg, from Zanzibar to Nairobi and from Abuja to Cairo, when all Africans will see themselves as a united family of one blood, one race and of one soul. For some of us who are ‘halabees’ and cannot afford air fares to Tanzania or Botswana can consider Togo ‘saa’ Happy Dr. Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah’s day folks …………peace be unto Africa, mother of all race…………..
