TRISTA wants to be with you, next to you, by your side (you get the picture) and loves carrying toys in her mouth. She would love to have her own teddy bear, if only her foster BC brothers and sisters didn’t seek and destroy those soft plush toys! She is also enjoying learning how to play with a ball and other squeaky toys. TRISTA behaved well with the cat and a Chihuahua in her foster home but she is still learning that her size can be a bit overwhelming at times. TRISTA has a very expressive personality. She has big bat ears and is real cute when she picks up one of her toys, drops her ears and comes over to play. In the morning or you have been out of the house, TRISTA will greet you with her special language, expressing her joy of seeing you again! But she is not overly chatty to the point of annoyance and she is not much of a barker. She also likes to wrestle with her foster buddy Derry (also available for adoption). TRISTA walks well on a leash, is house broken, has a pretty decent recall and is crate trained. She is also a quick learner - learning how to sit in one session with a cut up turkey dog as a reward. TRISTA would make an excellent running or walking partner. TRISTA is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about TRISTA please email us [email protected].
