TRIVIA: Most of the former Spanish colonies became poor countries (Peru, the other half of Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Filipinas, etc) ------- Most of the former (and current) British colonies became first world countries (USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, etc) with an exception to... ...India. What keeps India from developing is the existence of the Untouchables or the Outcasts. But still, India is considered as one of the developing countries. ------- Most countries under dictatorship are well-organized and very disciplined, but after their respective "democratic revolution" those countries turn out to be busts (Iraq, Libya, Filipinas, etc) -h
