TRUE, BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIANS ARE SAVED BY THE GRACE OF GOD For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. Titus 2:11,12 KJV There is nothing in this world like the Word of God, the Bible! It has the answers to mans great questions for this life and for the one to come, and it leads those who believe in it, through Christ, to the truth of God and to His great and free gift of salvation! Unfortunately, the masses of the unbelieving world think very little, or nothing of it, but in spite of that, God thinks very highly of His Word! In Psalm 138:2b, David wrote concerning God and His Word: for thou (God) hast magnified thy Word above all thy name. Again, in Isaiah 66:2, God says, ..but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit (humble), and trembleth at my Word. Dear unsaved friend, dont you think that it is time for you to humble yourself before God, and to believe and to tremble at His Word? Notice what the above scripture states! For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.. It is the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that brings salvation, and not our works as the religions of men falsely teach, and that grace through the preaching of the Gospel, has appeared to all men. But all men do not receive the grace of God, instead, they reject it! Throughout the New Testament Christians are said to be saved people, and this is exactly what the apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesian Christians, explaining to them, how God saved them! For by grace are ye saved (by grace you are saved) through faith; and that not of yourselves: it (salvation) is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9. If salvation was the result of what we did, then we could boast about it, but salvation is the result of what we did, but of what Christ the Saviour did on the cross for us, and all the boasting, praises, and glory belongs to Him, to the Lamb who was slain for our sins! That is why the apostle Paul wrote to the Galatian Christians: But God forbid that I should boast (Greek: kauxomai: to boast) , save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ... Galatians 6:14. The other great truth of the above verse, is that the grace of God that brings salvation, teaches us denying (in the present tense) ungodliness and worldly lusts, and that we should live, not as we please, nor in sin as many do who profess to be Christians today, but soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world!
