TSC RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT: This has been an important and successful week for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, and the culmination of our year-long advocacy efforts on behalf of the Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Research Program (TSCRP) at the Department of Defense. On January 14, the House approved the Consolidated Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2014, which includes a new appropriation of $6 million for the TSCRP. The Senate shortly followed suit on January 16 by passing the bill and sending it to the President. We expect the President to sign this into law as early as today. As in previous years, this accomplishment would not have been possible without the hard work of our advocates, including many of you, who participated in our March on the Hill, as well as those who met with Members of Congress and staff back in their home states. During these challenging times in a tight fiscal environment, your voice needs to be heard more than ever! We hope we can count on you again as we begin the process of seeking additional investments for the TSCRP in fiscal year 2015!
