TUESDAYS FORECAST: Today Tuesday will be a reasonable day across the region with all areas seeing a fair amount of dry and bright weather. There will however be the risk of some scattered heavy showers through the early afternoon,but these will gradually ease during the evening. Feeling very cool yet again for the time of year with highs of between 14 and 17 degrees expected. Wednesday will be yet another reasonably dry day across the region with all areas again seeing some pleasant spells of sunshine. There will however the the risk of the odd passing shower blown down on a fresh northwesterly breeze. Remaining cool with highs of 14 to 17 degrees expected. Thursday at present looks like being more overcast with some showery outbreaks of rain possible. Northern areas such as Roscommon, Longford, and North Westmeath area most at risk. Further south the showery rain should be lighter and more well scattered. Friday looks like being a better day across the region with all areas seeing some prolonged spells of sunshine with just very isolated showers. Temperatures recovering ever so slightly ranging from 15 to 19 degrees Celsius. Saturday looks like being the best day of the week at present with all areas enjoying a dry day with some pleasant spells of sunshine. Temperatures will feel rather pleasant with highs ranging between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius. During Saturday night and through Sunday morning a spell of heavy rain will cross the country from the south west bringing with it some strong and gusty winds also. This rain should clear through the afternoon but is set to be followed by heavy and possibly thundery showers.
