TVS DEBATE report from Nathan Johnson: We had what could possibly be its most successful tournament ever! We brought home the following awards: Anna Sudderth and Garrison Roe - Public Forum Debate Quarterfinalist Lauren Gillespie and Pooja Muddasani - Public Forum Debate Quarterfinalist Santosh Murugan - Extemporaneous Speaking Semifinalist Anna Sudderth - Extemporaneous Speaking Semifinalist William Han - Extemporaneous Speaking 6th Place Parth Kalaria - Extemporaneous Speaking 2nd Place Parth Kalaria - Lincoln Douglas Debate Champion - Parth was undefeated for the tournament (6-0), and with this victory has qualified for the Texas Forensic Association’s state championship. Santosh Murugan - Congressional Debate 2nd place Matt Davis - Congressional Debate Finalist Matt Davis - Impromptu Speaking 3rd place Santosh Murugan - Impromptu Speaking 4rd place 4th Place Overall School - We finished only behind much larger schools with teams two and three times larger than ours (Plano East, Plano West, and Big Springs). Additionally, the following students have earned the necessary National Forensic League points to be inducted into the honor society and awarded the degree of merit: Truman Robertson Lauren Gillespie Lara Turan Heather Rodenberg Please congratulate them when you see them!
