TV’s Dragons Den gives backing to Bristol Royal Infirmary RemPods for dementia sufferers Rooms from a bygone era used to help dementia patients in Bristol hospitals have received the backing of TV’s Dragon’s Den. Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) was believed to be the first large hospital to use the RemPods – which are set up to look like rooms from past decades – to support people with dementia when they were in hospital. The innovative approach to calming people while in hospital by taking them back to a time that is more familiar has now spread to hospitals and care homes across the country. And on Sunday night the Stroud-based entrepreneur behind the reminiscence pods was seen receiving the a £100,000 backing from dragons Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones in the BBC 2 television show. southwestbusiness.co.uk/news/27082013080513-tv-s-dragons-den-gives-backing-to-bristol-royal-infirmary-rempods-for-dementia-sufferers/
