TWO TRENDS THE NEXT TWO DAYS: WARMER AND WETTER...WHICH MEANS THE OTHER W...WHITER...TOUGH TO COME BY THIS CHRISTMAS As highs climb through the 50s the next few days and should even approach or perhaps exceed 60 degrees -AND- several rounds of rain pass through, you dont have to be a meteorologist to figure our chances for a white Christmas this year are pretty close to nil. Heres the good and bad news about our holiday forecast: BAD NEWS: Last minute shoppers on Wednesday, and Santa Wednesday night, will have to deal with a steady rain and brisk winds. The only plus here, it will be warm with highs around or a bit above 60 degrees. BETTER NEWS: While some occasional rain showers pass through tonight, we should be in a bit of a lull on Tuesday. While a shower or two may linger, most of the day remains dry. Still cloudy, but milder despite the clouds with highs well into the 50s. So holiday preps, travel, or shopping, Tuesday will be the better and by far the drier of the next few days. BEST NEWS: Well not if youre dreaming of a white Christmas, but if youre hoping for a drier one. After a rainy, breezy, and mild Christmas Eve, Christmas Day is drier as clouds give way to sunshine. Still rather blustery with brisk west winds, but the balance of the day should be partly sunny and still fairly mild with highs again well into the 50s. So Mele Kalikimaka as this Christmas looks green and bright here in South Jersey... And if youre hoping for winter weather, a.k.a. cold and snow: Perhaps around New Years Eve...but lets do one holiday at a time...
