Tajikistan to send emergency aid to Afghanistan Tajikistan intends to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, following a disaster that has struck the country just recently, Avesta.Tj reported referring to Tajik president press office. Over 2,100 people were killed in massive landslides that struck Afghanistans Badakhshan province on May 2. The initiative to assist neighboring Afghanistan came from Tajikistans President Emomali Rahmon. The President instructed to organize humanitarian aid to the victims in Afghanistan.
