Take Possession. Many people pray and do not receive answers to their prayers, not because God has not given or released the answers, but because they have not been able to receive the answers that have been given. If I give something to you, that thing can no longer be in my possession, if I send a package to you through DHL the package is no longer with me, but you have to know how to receive the package from DHL. So for such people, God is no longer in possession of what they have been asking for because He has already given it, and all they have to do is learn to receive it and take possession of it. God brought Israel out of Egypt to possess the land He promised them. But instead of receiving it and enjoying it, they became timid and fearful and said, We are not able to go up against these people, because they are stronger than we are. ...The land we passed through to investigate is a land that devours its inhabitants. All the people we saw there are of great stature. We even saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak came from the Nephilim) ,and we seemed like grasshoppers both to ourselves and to them ( Num 13:31-33) . So it would be unthinkable for them to go to God again in prayer, asking Him to give them the land He had promised. Majority of the Israelites who came out of Egypt did not fail to inherit the promised land because God had given it to them, but because they simply would not possess the land. Whatever it is you want the Lord to do for you, the truth is that He already did it, and your job is to receive it. But the problem is that many people do not know how to receive what God has already done for them and what He has already made available to them. When travelling, I do not beg God to give me protection in the journey, I simply thank Him for protection because He has already given it to me, for it is written that the Lord will always preserve my going out and my coming in (Ps 121:8) . I do not enjoy divine protection because I can pray better than any other person, but because I know and understand that I am guaranteed divine protection by the covenant promises of God. God does not answer me just because I pray, He answers because He is committed to His Word and His covenant. All I have to do to enjoy divine protection is receive it by thanking God for it. God already has the products in stock. Philippines 4:19 says God that will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. A person can only supply you with something if he has it, it is only when a manufacturer has a product in stock that he can supply it. Therefore by promising to supply all your needs, God is telling you that He already has all the supplies you will ever need, and that He already has the solution to all your problems. All you have to do is ask for it and heaven will supply it. God has already done something about your problems. If you are struggling with poverty the scriptures say He became poor that you might become rich (2Cor 8:9) . If you need deliverance the scriptures say He had delivered us from the power of darkness (Col 1:13) . If you want healing, the scriptures say by His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2v24) . If you need a new organ for your body, it is there waiting for you to ask and receive, if you need a new bone, it is there waiting for you to ask and receive, if you need a new eye, it is there waiting for you to ask and receive. God will never get up from His throne to destroy your enemies because He has given you all the power youll need to defeat and frustrate the powers of the enemy that have arrayed themselves against you. God has already given you the victory even before the battle, for the scriptures say that we are more than conquerors through Christ (Rom 8:37) . But in all these troubles we have complete victory through God. Therefore God has already given you victory over the battles you are facing in life, which means you do not need to fight the enemy to try and gain victory, all you have to do is to receive the victory that has already been made available to you in Christ Jesus. You need to know how to receive. It is not when you are in need of something or when you ask God for your need that He goes to work to make it available to you. But by reason of His foreknowledge He had already made the provision available for you, waiting for you to grow up to the stature and maturity, and be responsible enough, to receive them. Through everything you need and will ever need has been made available for you in Christ Jesus, you cannot receive all of it at the same time because there are some things you cannot yet receive. It is very important to note that it is one thing for heaven to release the answers to your prayers and the provision to meet your needs, but it is another thing to receive them. This is why for some people, their answers have already been released but they are yet to receive them because they have not been taught how to receive.
