Taking a few days to myself. There are no meetings to hurry between, no emails to return, nothing to sign off on, no virtual presentations to give. There is silence in this house save the howl of the wind outside, the brush of the oaks against the siding; there is the occasional wink of sun. The children are at school and the Mrs. is out and about. Here in my study sipping this tea with me sit Confidence and Apprehension trading looks of whimsy and wry foreboding, both ever careful not to taunt the other; and half-reclined I sit twixt these two. Did I say it is quiet in this house; yes, it is; but there is a clang and a clammer in my head.
