Taking a stand for SALMON and JOBS! Last week partners of the Washington Coast Sustainable Salmon Partnership testified to the state to request funding for salmon restoration and conservation projects on Washingtons Coast -- which accounts for 50% of the state’s salmon NOT listed under the Endangered Species Act. For every dollar spent on restoration, 80 cents stays within the county where a project is completed. Evidence shows dollar for dollar restoration creates more local jobs than any other construction project.
