Talk about a challenge... I was nominated by Mr. Cameron Byrd to choose my top 6 musical theatre roles. Heres to dreaming. 1) Angel in RENT. I really enjoy roles that challenge me to step outside of my comfort-zone but also address issues that are relevant today. 2) Grafitti Pete in IN THE HEIGHTS. I understudied the role but never had the chance to perform it. 3) Fiyero in WICKED. In my mind I can sing all of those tenor notes :) Plus I am always Dancing through life! 4) The Tinman in THE WIZ. Slide some oil to me! 5) Twig in BRING IT ON. What are yall scared? Yall think cheerin is feminine? Then Im a feminist swimmin-in-women gentlemen! 6) Jelly Roll Morton in JELLYS LAST JAM. Really any role ever played by Gregory HInes is a role Id love to try. He is a true song and dance man. There are so many that I have left out but 6 is the limit. I now challenge Lindsay Prince, Casey Prince and Alvon Reed!
