Talked with Edna today. She was at the hospital with Jim. Said they have put him back on the ventilator to relieve some stress of his breathing thru the trach with oxygen. They put it back and forth she said. They will test the fluid from his stomach again. It keeps building up. They will do an ultrasound and drain it again. Joan was also there and she said Jim is gaining back a lot of what he had when we were in Springfield. Hes moving both legs and feet, his left arm and hand, and is focusing his eyes more. But hes not squeezing your hand in response too questions, but he attempts to nod his head, and he moves his lips like hes trying to talk. I cant understand what caused his setback, but thank God that hes bouncing back. Frank and I both have been sick with bronchitis--bad coughing spells, and just not feeling good. Went to the AM/PM clinic Sunday and got a shot and some cough medicine. Were some better. It really drained us. We have no energy.
