Tammany Utilities *Cross Gates Subdivision *Smoke Testing Attention Customers: Tammany Utilities, in an effort to prevent storm-water intrusion into our sewer collection system, will perform smoke testing on March 25th, 26th, and 27th in the portions of Cross Gates Subdivision west of Military Road. The smoke testing will help us identify where storm-water is entering our collection system. This may include open sewer clean outs and cracked or damaged pipes. The testing will begin in the neighborhoods along Cross Gates Boulevard and its ancillary streets between Gause Boulevard and N. Military Road. After completing this area, the neighborhoods along Cross Gates Boulevard and its ancillary streets between Gause Boulevard and S. Military Road will be tested. While the testing is being performed, residents can expect to see white smoke coming from sewer manholes, sewer cleanouts and possibly the vents in their roof as they are connected to our collection system.
