With the June 24 Colorado Republican Primary nearing, Tom Tancredo remains the strongest Republican candidate to defeat John Hickenlooper in November. Data from recent internal campaign polls confirm the results of external pollsters such as Public Policy Polling (PPP). With hard data evidence, Tom Tancredo is the most formidable opponent who can build an electoral coalition among the key demographics to defeat John Hickenlooper. Tom Tancredo leads all other Republican contenders among women, independents, and Hispanics. Polling shows that Tancredo averages a 20-point lead in favorability among Hispanics when compared with each of the other Republican candidates. Among independent/non-affiliated voters, Tancredo averages a 14-point lead in favorability compared with the other Republican candidates. The PPP poll shows that Tancredo averages a 10-point lead over his opponents among women. And Tancredo holds a solid double-digit lead (average 17-points) in favorability over Republican opponents among voters who supported Mitt Romney in the 2012. Tom Tancredo said, “I am the candidate who can win and that’s what I intend to do! To defeat John Hickenlooper, we’re going to need a broad base of support in November. I’ve seen the public & private polling data and know that my campaign has that broad base. “It’s not just the polls. We’ve had over 10,000 individual donors contribute to this campaign. That’s more individual donors than Hickenlooper and my opponents combined.” Tancredo concluded, “I’m not the establishment candidate, nor am I a real traditional candidate. The people know I am not afraid to lead the fight to take back the freedoms that have been stolen from us by John Hickenlooper.”
