Teachers in primary and secondary schools should try to be their - TopicsExpress

Teachers in primary and secondary schools should try to be their pupils guidance counsellors aside from being their teachers. Ive discovered that one of the reasons for low academic performances especially at tertiary institutions is lack of proper guidance counselling on courses that suit them. Again, there should also be communication between the teachers and parents regarding courses of their pupils. For some parents are causative agents of their children underperformances in schools. I witnessed how a parent and his daughter had conflicting thoughts on a certain course. The parent had entirely different opinion on the course his daughter wanted to study in the university. This led to altercation. Yes, dad you dont deserve this childish stunt from me but again, youre abusing the privileges God had endowed you with. Agreed, youre my sponsor but that doesnt mean you should be my decider in especially issues regarding what is my prerogative. To deny me my choice is to dash my ambition, my dreams of becoming what I want in life. I cant blame those graduates who perform below per at their posted areas. How could they have performed well when their parents forced courses on them.
