Teachers were ill-advised not to attend the court proceedings, they needed to be there through representation. They were wrong by refusing to negotiate, they undermined the same constitution they invoked to go on strike because negotiation is a national value and principle of public service. This is getting bigger than anyone could have imagined, the Labour Secretary and his Education counterpart let down their boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, from the onset of this matter. Now, we have a national crisis!
