Team Caswell had another great start to a weekend within the First District as we travelled yesterday and today to Weir, KS. The annual Chili/Bean feed lived up to its grand tradition of serving some of the best in Cherokee County. The hospitality was equally as inviting. Gretchen and I then attended the Columbus/Southeast football game, where the Titans prevailed in a game that was closer than the score indicated. Today, Team Caswell walked in the Weir Homecoming parade. From our tent we were able to visit with lots of good people, watched the fun activities, games, and yes.....enjoyed southeast Kansas cuisine, this time awesome rigatoni at the Weir civic center. Thanks to all the good people in Weir for making us feel at home and thanks to all of the volunteers in Team Caswell!
