Techie Friends: I dont mind people seeing things on their newsfeed that Ive been tagged in. I dont mind people seeing pages Ive liked, because I understand thats how those pages spread the word and build an audience. I dont mind mutual friends seeing something Ive posted- or even a non-mutual friend of the person I posted to, seeing what Ive posted on that persons wall. What DOES annoy me is when people see what Ive posted on the wall of someone that THEY are not friends with. For example, I post a comment on a college friends status and my childrens babysitter has it show up on their news feed, even though they dont know my college friend. I find this annoying, because unless you know the friend I am posting TO, it is not really your business what we are saying to each other. That said, I dont make risque or inappropriate posts, so its not that kind of an issue. Its more irritating than anything else. I teach my children not to eavesdrop on other peoples conversations, so why does facebook force you to do it? Is there some way to prevent this from happening?
