Technique Work: Courtney had an issue of jumping too high and her feet would completely leave the platform. A common problem seen with a lot of CrossFit athletes. The problem is that when you jump so high that your feet leave the platform before you pull under, the bar is going to start falling before you start pulling under. Its then a race in which you will lose almost every time as the weights get heavier. In this drill we are focusing on pushing through the platform to create force, yet staying connected to the platform so she can immediately start to pull under. Her feet will only leave the platform when she picks them up to pull under. I have her pause at the top to get a feel for staying connected. As she gets comfortable she will eliminate the pause at the top of the extension. Then we will do this drill with a bar. The next week after doing a lot of reps of this drill Courtney PRd both her Snatch and C&J.
