Ted Cruz tried paying a bill at Hooters with his government credit card and the manager asked for CASH ONLY. Ted was bragging how he singlehandedly shut the government down.... It just dawned on me why the GOP is really calling for a government shutdown. It was back in 1995 when they last called for a shutdown. So it has been 17 years and now their biological cycle, like that of the Northeast Locust , is calling them to reemerge and prepare for yet another generation of locusts. After 17 years underground, the so-called "Brood II" cicadas are about to have their time in the sun. Millions of these root-sucking insects will come out into the open and spend four to six weeks calling for mates, mating and then laying eggs for the next generation.
