Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie review Okay, me being a guy that grew up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon from 2003, I had pretty high standards going into this movie. But, being this is a review of a movie adaptation, I have to go into it being biased. This movie is a GOOD action movie. It gives us some very brief back story on the turtles throughout the movie. The turtles as most of you know include Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael. Anybody that grew up with the turtles will agree with me when I say that these characters are SPOT-ON. I could not be happier with the performance of these characters. Though they may be unappealing at first, but it grows on you throughout the movie. Same can go for Master Splinter. Now, April ONeal, being played by Megan Fox... Shes... aight? Not good, but not terrible. The movie is more centered around the Turtles. The story is nothing special, to be honest, I was just interested in the delivery of the turtles more than anything, but the story is a basic Good guys vs Bad guys scenario. Shredder was pretty poopy and you wouldnt remember this character unless you grew up with the Turtles. There is one scene in this movie that will pull at your heart strings (It did for me at least) if you grew up watching the cartoon and knew everyone straight off the bat. The movies not bad, but its not the best representation on the turtles story as everyone would hope for. It was produced by Michael Bay, which can only say A LOT... But it doesnt mean its a downright terrible movie... I just hope they dont beat it like a dead horse as they did with Transformers. If you were a fan of the Turtles growing up, then for you, Id give the movie a 6.2. for obvious reasons and some not so obvious reasons that youd have to watch the movie to understand. If you came into this movie with no knowledge on the Turtles, Id give it a 7.0. Now, thats not a big leap from a 6.2, but this movie is practically made for those that dont know the turtles that well.. Raphael will probably always be my favorite Turtle...
