Tehran Holy Zoroastrian fire temple The cornerstone for the construction of this fire temple was set in 1913 AD by arbab Keikhosrow Shahrokh, president of Tehran’s Zoroastrian association and its construction was completed in 3 years, financed by the Zoroastrians of Iran and Zoroastrian Iranians of India (Bahram Bikaji). ******************************** The main building of Adorian sits in a large garden and is surrounded by trees and a pool in the center. There is a Farvahar above the entrance and the face of the building is adorned with columns which further magnify the venue’s glory. The exterior walls of the building are adorned with brickwork and there is a wooden carving atop it depicting two angelic figures, and a sign which reads *Khshnaothre Ahura Mazda* (To make Ahura Mazda happy)_ The sacred fire here was brought to Tehran, and then to this fire temple by a special ritual after 25 days from the fire temple of Yazd. **** * “Khshnaothre Ahura Mazda” .. be khoshnudie AhuraMazda * babak
