Tempo! Wow, was it humid this morning! Donna and I met at 5 and ran an easy warm up mile through Brookgreen, and then met Jamie, Wendy, Olivia, Sandy, and Shelley. We broke up into sub groups and took off. Our goal was to make it to 8 miles at a tempo pace. We quickly learned humidity will sap it out of you, and our “uphill both ways” loop may not have been the best choice… on the other hand, it forced us into a un-comfort zone, and we worked it. Due to time constraints we had to call it just as we skipped over 7 miles, drenched, woozy, and feeling good. Donna sent me our splits and pace, and we both are very okay with the run!
