Temporary Aircraft Document Clerk at Airlink admin2 November 26, 2014 Closing Date: 28 November 2014 Introduction Airlink is looking for a Temporary Aircraft Document Clerk to work at OR Tambo International Airport’s Centralised Library, Johannebsurg. Job Purpose: The Aircraft Document Clerk is responsible primarily for the upkeep of the controlled documents retained in the Aircraft On-Board Libraries installed on the fleet of aircraft operated and / or maintained by Airlink and its AMO. Requirements • The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. • Computer literate with MS Office. Excel is a must have • Must have a valid South African driver’s License. • Strong self-discipline and ability to handle repetitive work without constant supervision. • Accuracy of work is critical. • Strong adherence to published procedures is critical. • Aviation industry experience is an advantage. • May be required to work flexible hours where necessary. Accountabilities • Carrying out scheduled aircraft documentation checks and audits in accordance with Centralized Library Procedures. • Compiling scheduled aircraft documentation reports in accordance with Centralized Library Procedures. • Carrying out general upkeep of aircraft documentation and ad hoc controlled document revision work on all aircraft types. • Controlling the computer data base updates for all aircraft types. • Updating and maintaining the operational controlled documentation retained at designated departments within the company, or to subcontractor facilities, and in the Library data base. • Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards, particularly those specified in the Document Control Manual, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards. • Will assist with any additional tasks within the contexts of the job description.
