Temporary Assignment - Vacation Relief Territory Service Representative Kelloggs – Brighton, MI •Please note that this is a Temporary Assignment - Vacation Relief Territory Service Representative, which will require travel and some overnights from April through August 2014 covering vacations throughout Brighton, Howell & Novi, MI. Ideally, the candidate would live in one of the cities listed above or within a close proximity to this area .* Come grow with us as a Temporary Assignment - Vacation Relief Territory Service Representative and play a key role in delivering superior in-store customer service! You will excite and engage our consumers by merchandising store shelves and displays with our famous, globally loved snacks products. Working as part of a dedicated team, passionate about the Kellogg’s ® brand, you’ll be accountable for ensuring Kellogg’s snacks products are presented in the best possible displays to satisfy our customer’s needs, attract consumers and drive sales. _WHAT WILL I BE DOING?_ In your role as a Temporary Assignment - Vacation Relief Territory Service Representative, you will help the Kellogg business to continue to grow our business and build on our success by: •Executing business plans through fact-based selling techniques and displaying an ability to “close deals” with customers using fact-based selling and superior communications skills •Growing base sales through maximizing distribution, share of shelf, and selling incremental displays •Selling creative displays to customers to be placed at optimal locations with the stores to maximize sales •Building spot sell displays in support of incremental sales •Adhering to prescribed or assigned coverage plan •Writing, entering, and/or processing customer orders •Ensuring that customers are sufficiently merchandised by controlling back room stock and shelves through leading and influencing merchandising employees •Utilizing coverage plan to meet and exceed call coverage expectations for customers •Understanding of customers and their competitive set with the district and zone •Providing data and insights to internal partners for growth from in-store consumer activity •Possessing an understanding of Kellogg Company brands and the categories in which we compete •Leveraging variable labor to maximize business •Organizing, rotating and stocking shelves during each store visit – the platform for providing excellent customer service. This includes transferring cases of product from the backroom to the store’s sales floor. •Working as a team with your sales counterparts and management by communicating issues as appropriate, following your itinerary and being flexible with schedule changes and performing sales job duties as needed. We are looking for someone who can learn with us and to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements: Required: •High School Diploma/GED •Demonstrated superior customer service and verbal communication skill •Have a reliable vehicle •Have a mobile phone •Availability to work on Holidays and weekends •Work an average of 40-45 hours per week on a regular basis required •Weekly access to the internet to enter hours worked for payroll •Ability to conduct physical work, frequently lift 15lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs Preferred: •One year of previous Retail/Grocery merchandising experience and some college education is preferred. _WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW? _ This is an hourly position at $14/hr. and provides mileage reimbursement at the current government rate.
