Ten days have passed since the Charlie hebdo’s massacre and we - TopicsExpress

Ten days have passed since the Charlie hebdo’s massacre and we have seen many influent muslims dissociating themselves with this act. More surprisingly, apart form the Salafists, most of them have even treated the assaillants as non-muslims. Those who have read and applied the Quran are taught how to deal with slanderers like the Charlie hebdo’s cartoonists. 6:68 And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversion. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people. 25:63/64 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace/ Those will be given their reward twice for what they patiently endured and [because] they avert evil through good, and from what We have provided them they spend. 28:55 And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant. 7:199 Take what is given freely, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant. The Quran is clear that muslims are asked to endure patiently slanders and to turn away in peace from these people till they change their discourse and to avert evil through goodness. The message cannot be clearer. History tells us that the prophet himself was belittled during his time and acted upon the Quran and bore the insults patiently. However, many muslims have abandoned these clear standings and called for revenge for the prophet and even murder. If you are asking yourself how can they call for revenge when God is so clear in the Quran, the answer is again in the Hadiths books. Have a look at this hadith from Abu Dawood graded SAHIH by scholars Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas: A blind man had a slave-mother who used to abuse the Prophet and disparage him. He forbade her but she did not stop. He rebuked her but she did not give up her habit. One night she began to slander the Prophet and abuse him. So he took a dagger, placed it on her belly, pressed it, and killed her. A child who came between her legs was smeared with the blood that was there. When the morning came, the Prophet was informed about it. He assembled the people and said: I adjure by Allah the man who has done this action and I adjure him by my right to him that he should stand up. Jumping over the necks of the people and trembling the man stood up.He sat before the Prophet and said: Messenger of Allah! I am her master; she used to abuse you and disparage you. I forbade her, but she did not stop, and I rebuked her, but she did not abandon her habit. I have two sons like pearls from her, and she was my companion. Last night she began to abuse and disparage you. So I took a dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it till I killed her. Thereupon the Prophet said: Oh be witness, no retaliation is payable for her blood. Reference: Sunan Abi Dawud 4361 Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani) In-book reference : Book 40, Hadith 11 English translation : Book 39, Hadith 4348 We understand from this hadith that a pregnant wife was slained by his husband for belittling the prophet. Moreover the prophet did nothing to punish the man who had taken a disproportionate measure against the mother of his children and hence the prophet cautioned his act. Is he the same prophet mentioned in the Book, the best example, the walking Quran? In fact, Muslims have long abandoned the Book of God in favour of dubious accounts written 2-3 centuries after the demise of the messenger. Of course, most of them will say that they are not in favour of killing slanderers but these same people will be the first to treat people who reject this hadith as disbelievers. Yes, ahadith have to be questioned because we are believers in the Quran as the criterion to judge between truth and falsehood and a guidance for people. 2:185 The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. 45:6 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe? 77:50 Then in what statement after this (the Quran) will they believe? Most hadith are in fact ahad (with a unique transmitter) and do not agree with the quranic criteria of two witnesses and cannot be taken as such as the true words or actions of the prophet. Some may be true. Many contradict Quran, science (god’s creation) and common sense. The science of classification and choice of reporters for isnad (chain of transmission) is itself based on wishful thinking of so called scholars and on their judgement on people long time dead when only God has the power to judge the heart of people. Each school has his own criteria and sets of hadith that are picked willy-nilly and when it contradicts the Quran, they abrogate the verse. Some consider the hadith above as feeble even if it graded sahih by their own scholars. Others take it by the letter. The Kouachi brothers have. Most will not reject it but will sugarcoat it after some linguistic acrobatics even if they know that there is something wrong with it. If they had pondered on the Book, they would have found that any other statement other than the Quran will bring much confusion. That is why the prophet will say on the day of retribution. 25:30 And the Messenger will say: O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Quran (neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and orders).
