Ten years ago I had just had Christmas in Mauritius. Needless to say without family, and in 30 degree hit and a predominantly Muslim place it was WASNT very Christmassy. Early Boxing Day morn I donned my uniform to fly back to family for real Christmas. I phoned my grandparents when Id landed in London to let them know what time I would be with them. Was shocked to hear the news of the tsunami. Id missed it by literally a few hours. Am ever thankful for the timings of my flight that day. Of a safe Christmas celebration (albeit a day late) with my amazing family. Hug your loved ones tight today. You just never know whats in store for us! #feelingfortunate #tensyearson #tsunamirespect
