Testimony For The Churches... “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” - Rev 22:16 The so called christians brag about being christians without minding to know that the Lord Jesus never called His disciples christians in their bible or anywhere. We are saved to live by the word of Jesus, not by whatever we read in the bible or anywhere; Jesus said to those people who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. (Jn 8:31-32. Matt 7:24-25) • Paul charged the brethren saying; As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:6-10 NKJV) > And you were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. (I Corinthians 7:23 NKJV) • Many have become slaves of men to the extend they take mens word above Gods word; And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men...All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition...making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.” (Mark 7:7-9, 13 NKJV) > They let men interpret the bible for them and they careless about what the Spirit is saying to the churches. • After His ascension, Jesus Himself Whos God with us and Man with God; For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus (1Tim 2:5); and He said to John, “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. Jesus did not say this testimony for the christians, as many bragging to be today. > True people of God bears only the name given them by the mouth of the Lord; The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD will name. (Isaiah 62:2 NKJV) • The testimony of Jesus is for the churches, not for the world; And I fell at his[angels] feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10 NKJV) > Even His prayer was not for the world, but for His churches; “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. (John 17:9 NKJV) • The true churches of Christ, the brethren have the testimony of Jesus. They dont compromise with other religion for any reason; So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:18-20 NKJV) > They dont follow stranger with their strange teachings; And when he[Jesus] brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers...I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own...And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd...My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. (John 10:4-5, 14, 16, 27-28 NKJV) • The testimony[law and teachings] of Jesus is easy to understand and obey; Jesus says; Come to Me, all you who labor [with the demands of the religious laws] and are heavy laden [with the rules of men], and I will give you rest[freedom]. Take My yoke[law and teachings] upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV) > If it is not freedom [easy and light], it is not of Christ. If you must attend the service, pay to receive blessing and other load men put on peoples shoulder, then it is not of Christ; Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage...For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. (Galatians 5:1, 13 NKJV) • The testimony of Jesus: “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” > He is the I AM EVERYTHING we need in/from God; For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us...in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge...For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (2Cor 1:20. Col 2:3,9-10 NKJV) + Jesus says that He is the Root and the Offspring of David; He is the Creator of David Who came through him to redeem the people of God; For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV) > The present day christians, like Jews, dont understand this; While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “ The Son of David.” He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying: ‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool” ’? If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore. (Matthew 22:41-46 NKJV) + Jesus also says He is the bright Morning Star. He is the shining light of the world; For in Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:4-5 NKJV) > He is the light that shines brighter and brighter once you let Him in. Peter said, For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. (II Peter 1:16-19 NKJV) • Everyone saved by grace through faith need the bright Morning Star shining in their hearts; Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me...He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:20, 22 NKJV) > Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing...If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples...These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. (John 15:5, 7-8, 11 NKJV) • Our Joy as disciples of Jesus lies only in the testimony of Jesus, so we can say like prophet Jeremiah; Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. (Jer 15:16) + May you always find Joy in Jesus and His word against all the wind of doctrines of men and demons; May you be established and walking in the present truth the rest of your life in Jesus Name!
