Thank God for the prophets and their message that carried us - TopicsExpress

Thank God for the prophets and their message that carried us through the deserts of life: Ezr 5:1 Then the LORD God of Israel told the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to speak in his name to the people of Judah and Jerusalem. And they did. Ezr 5:2 So Zerubbabel the governor and Joshua the priest urged the people to start working on the temple again, and Gods prophets ENCOURAGED them. We that waited and wishes for the decades to pass in order for the prophetic promises of God to be fulfilled in our ministries accommodates a donkey attitude in our inner beings. Yes we have more than our share of the exhausting effect of the heat, the dust storms, the back stabbings and the many disappointments of these long years that seemed so empty and pointless, but we somehow just keep going like donkeys with blinkers that wont listen to reason and logic, blind to the obvious, barely hanging there by the skin of our teeth, but we just keep moving slowly forward, sometimes four steps forward and three steps backward but we continue our journey on a snails pace. Although we know that God used these so called empty barren dessert years to lay the foundation of our respective ministries, to build and strengthen our character, to give us a caring hart, to give us on the other hand an elephant skin, to implant wisdom and discerning in our spirits, to impart His love and forgiveness in our hearts for those that don’t deserve it, it didnt make the wait any easier. It was only the prophetic promises that encouraged us to keep going and to ignored the alluring white towels that we so often want to throw in the fighting arena. Thank God for the prophetic promises that guides us like blind men and women through all sort of onslaughts, through sickness and operations, through heartaches and betrayal, through the kisses of Judas, through those nasty surprises, through financial hardships, through the tiredness of body, soul and spirit. I often think that we are very stupid, but there is a undeniable clinging calling on us that we cannot shake of. Oh my how did we endured the attacks and the onslaughts of the Jezebels and of Absalom, how did we withstood all the cleverness and craftiness of the devil and his many tricks to let us major on the minors and to sidetrack us on the many byways so that we lose focus on the one most important goal in life. How did we bypass all the landmines in the spiritual minefield, how did we barely escape all sorts of temptations and flee like a Joseph without a shirt. We have the many scars of the long weary battle to prove that we were there BUT we are so aware that the only reason that we are stil in the ministry are the manifold grace of God and the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit. Because of that we much rather hide in the dark so that the only spotlight can find our Master on the stage of life, because He is our only delight and joy and we still remember our fellow laborers that felled by the wayside because they started building their own kingdoms while we kept on focusing on His kingdom. How are we still crying for our fellow laborers that rather committed suicide than took the hammering, how do we still pray for those that concede to the enticement of sin and yet we almost took the same bait, how did we prayed for those that just couldn’t take the heat and the struggles of the dessert any longer?. Are we beter than them? Oh no a thousand times no! It was just the kindness and the goodness of our God, yes it was only His forgiving nature that endure our stubbornness and stupidity, it was just the blood of Jesus that kept us steadfast and the prophetic promises that are still kept us moving forward. We are not yet there but we know the end time harvest gathering is here. We are humbled by the powerful and mind boggling promises for our ministries. Although there are no visual signs in the sky we smell the scent of rain after so many decades in the dessert, although nothing manifested in the natural we are so aware of major shifts that took place in the heavenlies. Although everything looks the same we see cracks in the spiritual bulwark, we have entered a place of rest where we praise our King while we will continue with thanksgiving and with our heavenly language on our lips. Hallelujah for our God and His prophets that protected and kept us on the right road all these years. We are also thankful and mindful of the Pentecostal pioneers that saturated the soil with their endurance, with their tears, with their prayers, with long seasons of fasting, with their blood, with their lifes, oh they were humiliated and ridiculed because they dare bring the message of fire and holiness. Because of them we will reap this gigantic harvest for our God. Thank you guys, thank you prophets for your obedience to brought those words long ago to our attention because those words and the One that spoke those words carried us through. Amen
