Thank you Bridget Dack for the nomination. I started with a list - TopicsExpress

Thank you Bridget Dack for the nomination. I started with a list of over 50 indispensable albums managed to get it down, with a massive amount of personal trauma to 31. Realised I could actually spend the rest of my life working on this, so decided to simply order by date, on the basis that the older the album the more enduring my appreciation must be, so possibly my top ten albums are the first ten you see or possibly not. In the meantime I nominate Paul Thody, Stephen Dedola and Mike Proctor to list their top TEN albums of all time. You have been chosen because I believe you all who have interesting musical tastes, or do you? I look forward to finding out. So here is the list in date order. I am obviously cheating, so if you are sensitive to that just read the first ten The Doors The Soft Parade 1969 Neil Young After the Gold Rush 1970 The Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street 1972 Lou Reed Transformer 1972 Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon 1973 The Who Quadrophenia 1973 Supertramp Crime of The Century 1974 Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here 1975 The Rolling Stones Black and Blue 1976 Leonard Cohen Death of a Ladies Man 1977 Joan Armatrading Show Some Emotion 1977 Lou Reed Street Hassle 1978 The Clash London Calling 1979 David Bowie Lodger 1979 Talking Heads Remain In Light 1980 John Martyn Grace and Danger 1980 Prefab Sprout Steve McQueen 1985 This Mortal Coil Fillgree and Shadow 1986 R.E.M Document 1987 R.E.M Green 1988 The Waterboys Fisherman’s Blues 1988 Tim Booth & Angelo Badalamenti Booth and The Bad Angel 1996 Radiohead OK Computer 1997 Nick Cave The Boatman’s Call 1997 Bonnie Prince Billie I See a Darkness 1999 The Flaming Lips Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 2002 The Decemberists Picaresque 2005 Nick Cave Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! 2007 John Grant Queen of Denmark 2010 Gillian Welch The Harrow and the Harvest 2011
