Thank you Eric Rose for nominating me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! ALS (also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease) is a disease that affects the motor neurons in the body and stops the brain from being able to initiate muscle movement. Once diagnosed with ALS an individual is expected to live for two to five more years on average. This challenge has been able to accomplish a lot in a short period of time. In just a few weeks, there have been approximately four million dollars in donations which is far more that the ALSA has seen in previous years. Along with doing this challenge I will make a donation to the ALSA. I encourage others to do the same! I have decided to challenge Nagid Brown, Megan Griffin and Anthony Anca to complete this challenge within 24 hours!
