Thank you President Obama for stepping up and acting on the immigration issue. The action isnt permanent, but its better than having families living in fear of being uprooted. I know some individuals do not like this, but this issue had to be addressed and acted upon. It is not right to have families torn apart after contributing to our society for so many years. These individuals are fleeing countries with no opportunity and high levels of violence. The founding ideals of this country aimed to help individuals seeking to contribute to our country. President Obama is acting within the federal bureaucracy composed of agencies the executive branch oversees. He has constitutional authority to provide a temporary fix. The executive order is not permanent, but I hope now our legislative branch will begin to serve as a law maker again soon to permanently address this issue.
