Thank you! Thank you! Thank You! I cannot tell you how - TopicsExpress

Thank you! Thank you! Thank You! I cannot tell you how disheartened I was yesterday after posting the last message. How dire everything seems to continue to be for our girl and those who love her so very much. It too often seems like we get one battle conquered and another comes up. I know first hand how difficult it is to maintain a positive attitude when all seems to be a tiring uphill climb daily... especially for her. We all had such high hopes for this new organ. To be fair, its not the organ, it is her immune system that is attempting to destroy it by over reacting to its presence thru the AIH. I know so many people have their own daily battles and struggles. We all have them. I know what even a small gift can mean to someone struggling. For those who could donate to help her out, this is the message I awoke to this morning: Weve sent $619.36 to your bank account. The funds should appear in your bank account in 2-5 business days. We have established a Helping Heather Fund at Wells Fargo if you would like to give directly to it, please PM me. !!!!! WE ARE BLOWN AWAY BY YOUR GENEROSITY!!!!! The money received is enough money to sustain us for a few weeks at RMH when a room becomes available - we are still low on the list. So many are in need. So many families struggling with life threatening illnesses. With the Thymoglobulin, Heather will not be able to take care of herself. She is being blanketed with anti-fungals - any kind of a fungal infection could be life threatening. She will experience fever, chills, dizziness (she will be a fall risk) and most likely experience crazy hallucinations (she tends to see animals, old men, small children and bugs) which will cause her fear (overwhelming), amplified anxiety, and despairing thoughts. Most often in the past, she fears abandonment. She needs me to be there with her, so she knows she has not been left alone and can rest easy- this stuff seems to impair her short term memory. My car is suppose to get fixed today so I can go be with her. I cant stay in her room... but it is possible to be closer until RMH tells us we have a room with a kitchenette. I am now checking into the possibility of the Argyle House which was a house established by Best Buy for Transplant Patients, but we are not certain of the cost, availability or if insurance will cover it. Heather would like all of you to know how very much your prayers, gifts of time & money and efforts to help in any way are so very appreciated. We are so humbled by the outpouring of love. For continued Prayers I am changing this up just a little: Heavenly God, Thank you for the complete healing of Heather Marie Eckstrom. Thank you for the gift of life you have bestowed upon her for this new organ. Thank you for sending angels to watch over her and for their protection, and for empowering her body to accept this new liver as her own and for putting the the Auto-Immune Hepatitis into complete and total remission. Thank you for enabling others to help in any way possible. Thank you for giving her family respite and refuge in the love and generosity of others. In your name we pray, Amen. We are no longer praying for the what ifs ... we are asking all to pray for what is. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are our heroes! From the very bottom of our hearts... your love and support means so very much. Heathers mom, Karen
